About us
A community-rooted medical mission bringing compassionate care to people who need it most.
It started with a simple question: who is caring for them?
Misambi Medical Mission was started in 2025 by Bishop Ezekiel Oginga of Oriang' VOSH Church in Misambi, Homa Bay County.
The first people we cared for were members of the church congregation. Word spread quickly, and the mission soon opened its doors to the wider community around the church. Since then, more than 50 volunteers have joined us to hold 30 medical camps and treat 100 patients, and more people continue to come forward to serve.
Our mission and vision
To bring free and affordable, compassionate healthcare to families in Misambi and across Homa Bay County, and to equip communities with the knowledge to live healthier lives.
Healthy, thriving communities across the Nyanza region, where no one goes without care because of distance or cost.
Our values
Compassion
We treat every patient the way we would want our own family to be treated.
Dignity
Care is given with respect, privacy and without judgement, whatever a person's circumstances.
Integrity
We are honest with our patients and accountable to our donors for every resource entrusted to us.
Community
We work alongside local leaders, health workers and volunteers, because lasting change is shared.
